Cook to Address Issue of Data Growth at Annual East Coast Emerging Growth Conference

CAMBRIDGE, Mass – September 19, 2011— Permabit Technology Corporation, the leader in the development and delivery of OEM embedded Data Optimized Storage, today announced that CEO Tom Cook will be participating on a Data Center panel at the America’s Growth Capital (AGC) Annual East Coast Emerging Growth Conference.

The AGC Annual East Coast Emerging Growth Conference is taking place in Boston on Monday, September 19th. Tom will be participating on the Data Center panel from 11:00 am – 11:45 am discussing trends in data optimization, specifically data deduplication as it relates to big data. The panel will be moderated by Scott Card, Partner at AGC and Tom will be among panelists Matthew Dornquast, CEO at Code42 Software; Paul McDermott, CFO at SEPATON; and Robert Moulton, Founder, President and CEO at Seven10 Storage Software.

“Data growth has become an albatross for enterprise companies. My participation on the panel at AGC will focus heavily on how deduplication, which can reduce the amount of data stored by 5-35X, has moved from a nice-to-have feature to a must-have technology to contain costs associated with and how it promises to reorder the storage business.”
