The company also announced today that they have added an important executive position to the company in new Vice President of Business Development, Brett Hawkes.

• Brett Hawkes is Permabit’s new vice president of business development and is responsible for developing Permabit’s alliances and OEM relationships with strategic industry partners. Brett comes to Permabit from NetApp which he joined through its acquisition of Onaro Inc. Brett has more than 25 years of sales and sales management experience, 15 of those years have been spent in the storage industry. Prior to NetApp, Paul managed OEM relations for Aarohi Communications and Vixel which both resulted in acquisitions by Emulex Corp. Brett holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Syracuse University.
